Promotions

The following are the guidelines to be used in determining promotions within the Healer Craft:

Requirements to be promoted from Jr. Apprentice to Apprentice:

  • A four RL week probationary period
  • Approval from staff.

Requirements to be promoted from Apprentice to Sr. Apprentice:

  • Must be an apprentice for at least three RL months.
  • Must submit logs of attending at least three Healercraft-Based classes taught by a valid instructor.
  • Must display the proper behavior and RP frequency to justify promotion.

Requirements to be promoted from Sr. Apprentice to Journeyman:

  • Senior Apprentice must be at least 18 turns of age. Exceptions may be made by the Craftmaster.
  • Completion of a Senior Apprenticeship period of no less than three RL months.
  • Submit at least two logs of attendance of a class taught by a valid instructor.
  • Submit at least one log of teaching a healercraft class or tutoring session, overseen by a valid instructor.
  • Must display the proper behavior and RP frequency to justify promotion.

Requirements to be promoted from Jr. Journeyman to Journeyman:

  • The discretion of the CraftMaster
  • When the limiting circumstances, such as age, are no longer a factor.

Requirements to be promoted from Journeyman to Sr. Journeyman:

  • Complete a stint of at least three RL months as a Journeyman.
  • Be at least 19 turns of age.
  • Submit two logs of teaching at least two approved healercraft classes.
  • Must display the proper behavior and RP frequency to justify promotion.
  • Must display an advanced and working knowledge of the Healercraft on Pern.

Requirements to be promoted from Sr. Journeyman to Master:

  • At least three RL months as a Senior Journeyman.
  • Must be at least 25 turns old.
  • An additional three RL months work in your chosen specialty, if you declare as a Senior Apprentice.
  • Submit Logs of TEACHING Three Classes.
  • Display an advanced, working knowledge of the Healercraft.
  • Interview given by no less than THREE PC Healercraft Masters or Weyrleaders. The CraftMaster must be included.
